SCI Italy is looking for participants for the training course “Surfing the Shame”, funded by the Erasmus+ program. The project aims to develop emotional competencies among young people using non-formal education methods such as Nonviolent Communication, Theater of the Oppressed, and the Human Library.
Main Objectives of the Course:
- Learn to recognize and respond constructively to challenging emotions such as shame, anger, and guilt.
- Create a safe and intentional space to explore emotional responses.
- Develop communication skills and practical tools to address emotional situations.
Course Details:
- Start: February 20, 2025, with welcoming and introductory activities beginning at 6:00 PM.
- End: February 26, 2025, in the evening, with departures planned for the morning of February 27.
- Location: Camere d’Aria, an artistic and community space promoting expression and participation from the ground up.
Who Can Participate:
- Young people aged 18 and over from eligible countries (EU countries and others associated with the Erasmus+ program).
- Motivated individuals willing to engage fully in all phases of the project (before, during, and after the training).
- Participants with a good command of English and openness to sharing experiences in a multicultural setting.
Financial Conditions:
- Full coverage of accommodation and meals.
- Reimbursement of travel expenses up to the limits set by the Erasmus+ program.
- Vegetarian diet (with vegan options), in line with principles of sustainability and climate justice.
