Per i progetti nel Sud del mondo è necessario partecipare agli incontri di formazione che si svolgono sia in autunno che in primavera.

1) Community Els Avets – SCI Catalunya
FADEAM- Fundacin Els Avets de Moià is a non-profit public utility organization for people with intellectual disabilities, partially funded by the Government of Catalonia. The attention is based on the relationship established with the people with disabilities in order to achieve a household and integrative dimension.
1) Camphill Botton – IVS GB
We are seeking volunteers to work in multiple locations. Volunteering will provide you with the opportunity to do something dierent with your life and make a difference, some practical experience and the chance to make new friends from different countries and cultures, explore interesting new places, develop your language and social skills. You will live in the village, which will give you the
opportunity to work and celebrate our festivals throughout the year alongside all the members of the community.
2) Tigh a’Chomainn Camphill – IVS GB
Tigh aChomainn Camphill is a Community built on mutual responsibility, trust, friendship and the ethos, values and experience of the worldwide Camphill Movement. Located in the Dee valley in Aberdeen it’s a home from which individuals can explore their potential, grow to understand their capacity while understanding their limitations. It is a warm and friendly Community in which individuals can feel at home. Responsibility is carried by all members of the Community and everyone is valued for who they are.
1) Innisfree Village – SCI IVS USA
Innisfree village is a lifesharing community with adults with intellectual disabilities on a 550 acre farm.
2) Stanton Home – SCI-IVS USA
Our main house is located in Great Barrington MA in an old farmhouse and are surrounded by ower gardens, an organic vegetable garden, a weavery and a working farm. We have just recently opened a second house in New Canaan CT, very similar to our main house on a smaller scale. We currently have a total six residents, from eight to ten volunteers from all over the world as well as full and part time local sta. We believe that the most important thing in life is relationships. Everything else is how we give substance, value, and meaning to those relationships.
1) Old house but new hope in Xilou – VYA Taiwan
Xiluo, located in the middle of Taiwanthe northern Township of Yun-lin County. Xiluo is the nearest township by the great Zhuo Shui River. The great Xiluo Bridge is one of the famous landmarks in Taiwan and stands on the River for 60 years until now. You can see the famous sunset view here. Not only the view but also Yenping historical houses are marvelous. You can also enjoy the typical Taiwanese culture in Xiluo Old Street. Chinese Kon-Fu , Puppet show, Soy souse DIY, organic vegetable, even the sculpture park is nearby the great bridge.
1) Kanazawa Farm – SCI Japan
Kanazawa Farm is a private organic farm in a rural area, 150km east of Tokyo. Ms Kanazawa grows rice, vegetables and chickens for eggs. She is inviting volunteers to help her with farming and daily housework.
2) NICE-LW-IW17-1 Iwaki 17-1 – NICE Japan
Organized together with Fukushima Conservation Corp (FCC). Conservation Corps is long term. Conservation Corps is long term workcamps in USA where 10 -20 youth work for local development and environment. About 25000vols. join every year. To create similar programs in Japan, FCC was created 2011 after the Great East Japan Earthquake East Japan. Iwaki city has still damage caused
by harmful rumour. FCC start various activities to work in the eld and forest, maintain coastal forests which it damaged by tsunami with local people.
1) Chinese assistant – Sodrujestvo
The idea of the project is as follows: intercultural exchange educating kids interested in other cultures, tolerant to other nationalities, religions, races learning foreign languages educating kids to share the values of international voluntary movement and ethical principles: to be willing to help the local community acting out of self-initiative, to solve con icts without violence, to respect human rights, to promote solidarity between human beings at all levels.
1) Environmental conservation and farming – Kiburanga Women Self Help
Kiburanga Community Based Organisation is an indigenous non-political membership organization which is non-sectarian and non-prot making started in 2007.Through the volunteers support and that of other like-minded development organizations, we can mobilize human material resources to enhance active participation of those recipients to development policies to signicantly address the problems that hinder human and environmental friendly development approaches so that we sustain our collective eorts to eradicate poverty.
2) Teaching Long term volunteering – Kiburanga Women Self Help
The long term volunteer will mainly support the teaching of the local day care centre, taking care of children aging 3 years till 10 years from the community. Besides the volunteer can help teaching in public schools and a local school center according to needs of the school and abilities.
1) Agbowa Ikosi Community Farm Projects – VWAN Nigeria
This project is design to create opportunity for young people to acquire some skills on small scale farming. The poultry farm, rabbit and other pet animals will be supervised and managed by experienced member of the organisation. The aim is to learn to grow one’s own food, and possibly a bit extra to sell on the market. Cultural diversity is also exchanged. The Motherless and disabled homes located within the village will be supported. The products from the farm are partly consumed in some of our motherless homes.
2) Eruwa Farm Agricultural Projects – VWAN Nigeria
Major idea of this project \operation food basket” is to create the opportunity for young people to acquire some skills on small scale farming to allow them to grow their own food (and possibly extra food to sell on the market). Cultural diversity is also exchanged. Some weekends are designated to social activities. These include cultural nights, expositions, entertainments, dancing, drum in an open show, camp re, display of cultural wears and foods. All volunteers and local youths in the communities are involved in those activities.
1) Assend Youth Development Foundation – UPA Uganda
Assend Youth Development Foundation was founded in 2011 as a street children initiative by a former street youth who learnt about the real life of a street child and all the consequences ahead, he then started sharing them with his peers and in 2013 AYDF was started mainly to a power valuable communities/street children with valuable and marketable skills that enhances their potential to effectively participate in the development process of the country and at household levels by initiating practical skills development among themselves and hence improve on to their social wellbeing.
2) Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue Foundation – UPA Uganda
Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue Foundation (USCRF) is a non-governmental/nonprofit organization formed with the aim of promoting Sickle Cell awareness, sensitization and ghting Sickle Cell Disease while improving the quality of life of people living with Sickle Cell Disease in Uganda. USCRF provides a wide range of services. awareness and advocacy on sickle cell disease; training in sickle cell disease; Community Outreach services; Sickle cell Management, Treatment and Research; Economic empowerment and livelihood support; counseling and psychosocial support; fundraising.
1) Gardening and Environmental education projects – ASTOVOT Togo
This projects aims at associating the practical gardening and environmental education for a sustainable development in order to sensitise our basic communities in understanding and conservation of our environment. The project consists of proposing workshops of educational gardening, agroecologic and therapeutic for our public, in particular the Togolese volunteers and the pupils of primary and middle schools of Kpalime. Indeed it provides a framework opening out to discover, listen to, exchange, experiment and take initiatives.
2) Support to Libraries Staff – ASTOVOT Togo
Reading helps to be open to cultures. Faced with the multiplicity and variety of information technology, most students are no more interested in reading and book culture. The project aims at supporting the library,encouraging students to be interested in reading and to develop interest in cultural activities such as drama, poetry, dance, etc. Various activities are organized:activities around albums,scientic activities,awareness campaign in schools,organizing games for children,reading contests with prizes,cultural events (theater, storytelling, African night followed by dancing.)
3) Support Radio Planète– ASTOVOT Togo
The project of activities on the radio is held in Kpalime at Radio Planet. Noting the rich intercultural debates and the thinking they bring to each one, we consider appropriate to share this exchange with radio listeners. Indeed, the debates allow people to question themselves, to think on the meaning of their behaviors and improvements that can be made. The volunteer will participate in the life of the radio at several levels: talk shows,variety shows,news,interviews and vox pops, etc.
1) Blue Rose Special School – SCI Sri Lanka
The Blue Rose Special School and Training Centre is a day school running a Day Care Centre” for 30 mentally challenged youngsters (age 12-29), located 4 km away from Kandy, known as Getambe. Today there are 40 registered students, six regular teachers and three part-time instructors for physiotherapy, speech therapy and music.
2) Peace Center-Mutur – SCI Sri Lanka
Mutur Peace center was established in 2009 to cater specially the children of the area. Mutur is situated in Trincomalee district in the Eastern cost of Sri lanka. The area was aected by the war and tsunami while ooding time to time. Mutur is dominated by Muslim communities living together with some Tamil and Sinhala people. The main objective of the project is to promote peace, intercultural and interethnic understanding.
1) Kok Payom (fishermen village) – DALAA Thailand
Kok Payom is a strong community surrounded by mangrove forests few kilometers from the Andaman coast. Villagers want to preserve their life style and the nature for the next generation. They welcome visitors, activists and volunteers to join in any useful activity. The community has recognized their problems and is working hard to nd solutions to the issues they face. The work can go from education to environment, sustainable agriculture to health, to promote solidarity. The main activity for most volunteers is teaching English but as a tool to get together for the community’s future.
2) Ta Yang Learning Home – DALAA Thailand
This Muslim village lays few kilometers from the Andaman coast. Bang Leem, one of the villagers realized the need to take a bigger responsibility in the education of local kids. He turned his home into a learning center to keep alive this strong community and their traditional way of life. English language should be used as a tool to strengthen the abilities of locals to deal with the problems and the opportunities of globalization. Volunteers are open windows on the outside world. They will learn the local wisdom and skills and help to organize activities with the kids.
1) Animal shelter – Chiriboga Ecuador
This animal shelter aims to care for the animal welfare through good nutrition and care. A Shelter welcomed the following wild animals: ocelots, penguins, blue footed boobies, tapir, bualo, deer, ostriches, yamalas (small deer), cuchuchos, a variety of birds, alligators, ostriches, peacocks, turtles etc.
2) Teaching and Social Care Projects – Chiriboga Ecuador
This project oers volunteers the opportunity to assist students of elementary schools located in rural areas. The pupils do not have access to English and/or Computer teachers due to limited available funds. The volunteers can be assistants of the English teachers.
1) PROYECTO CONSCIENTE – SCI Switzerland
PROYECTO CONSCIENTE is a group of young Salvadorian vols who believe that a more re ected and creative education is crucial to change the living conditions of the underprivileged. Currently they have a project in a primary school, a newly opened cultural centre, a scholarship program for high school and a womens emancipation project. By means of courses (art, theatre, handcraft, music), workshops, study trips and cultural activities they try to provide a more motivating and interesting education.
